Meta Shares How to Improve Ad Performance with AI
Meta shared a new overview highlighting how brands can maximize its latest AI-powered ad tools, including AI content generation, targeted ad delivery and video promotion features. These tools are driving better performance for many advertisers, especially as the holiday season approaches. With the rise of video content and personalized targeting, Meta’s advanced capabilities are enabling more businesses—especially small- and medium-sized ones—to create engaging, effective campaigns.
Meta encourages brands to embrace their AI creative tools by uploading multiple ad variations with different messages, allowing its algorithms to test and optimize at scale. For businesses with limited resources, generative AI features like video creation and image animation offer a practical way to boost creative output. Nearly 2 million advertisers are already using Meta’s AI video tools, showing significant traction, particularly in image animation. These innovations help brands stay competitive without needing extensive creative assets.
The platform also notes that video engagement continues to grow, with a 20% year-over-year increase in time spent watching videos on Facebook and Instagram, largely driven by Reels. This format presents a strong opportunity for advertisers, with 79% of users in a Meta survey saying they’ve purchased something after watching a Reel. Features like AI-generated backgrounds and video from text or images have already shown measurable success making them valuable tools for boosting holiday campaign results.
Boost Visibility and Engagement with Instagram Reposts
Instagram now allows users to repost public Reels and feed posts directly to their profile. This feature gives marketers a new way to curate relevant content, amplify key messages and engage audiences authentically.
Reposts appear in your followers’ feeds and are saved in a dedicated Reposts tab on your profile, making it easy for followers to revisit shared content. More importantly, reposted content credits the original creator, expanding its reach beyond the creator’s immediate audience.
Why this matters for marketers:
- Increased Reach: If your content gets reposted, it may be shown to new audiences – even those who don’t follow you – creating new exposure opportunities.
- Curated Storytelling: Share content that aligns with your brand, campaigns, or community voice while adding your own insights.
- Community Engagement: Use reposts to highlight UGC, influencers, or partners, helping to build brand trust and relationships.
How to repost: Simply tap the repost icon on any public Reel or post. You can also add a personalized note to provide context—just type in the thought bubble and hit save.
Meta Enhances Performance Insights for Creators
Also from Meta this month: The company has announced a significant update to its Professional Dashboard on the web, offering creators expanded access to performance insights and monetization tools in a more user-friendly format. While many creators currently use the dashboard within the Facebook mobile app, Meta has recognized the need for a more functional web-based experience, especially for tasks that benefit from a larger screen and more detailed analysis.
The refreshed web version now features interactive performance graphs, content insights, monetization overviews, and improved navigation, making it easier to find the most relevant data quickly. Meta emphasized that these updates were driven by creator feedback and aim to streamline the experience across both web and mobile. For example, the Comments Manager is now fully aligned between platforms, allowing creators to better manage their communities regardless of device.
In addition to layout improvements, the dashboard introduces new tools like audience insights, performance metrics and a “Popular with your followers” module, which highlights trending content specific to a creator’s audience. These enhancements offer more actionable data to inform content strategy and boost engagement.
Meta has also revamped its Facebook for Creators website, giving users access to resources covering content strategy, monetization tips, and community-building advice. Altogether, these updates aim to empower creators with better tools and information to grow and succeed on Facebook and Instagram.
Brands should be cheering, too—if your marketing strategy includes working with influencers or creators, you now have access to more information about your audiences.
